“April” by Chapterhouse

6 06 2013

For no particular reason, my next few music posts will be of British shoegaze bands of the early 1990s. The first one is “April” by Chapterhouse:

I saw them at Lee’s Palace in Toronto a couple of years ago – they had reformed for a tour. This was typical of what they were playing – huge walls of guitar noise, played very very loud. (This video sounds best if played as loud as possible.) I had to stuff napkins into my ears, as I hadn’t brought ear plugs with me. I liked it, though.
