Okay, I think it’s time for some random silliness. Here it is:

This song was recorded in 1969.

Some random facts about the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band (some of this is from Wikipedia, the standard reference source for the lazy):

  • They were originally known as the Bonzo Dog Dada Band, and later were referenced as simply the Bonzo Dog Band.
  • Vocalist Vivian Stanshall is the voice on Mike Oldfield’s “Tubular Bells” (“two slightly distorted guitars”). He died in a fire in 1995.
  • The band Death Cab For Cutie takes its name from one of the Bonzos’ songs.
  • Pianist Neil Innes has worked extensively with Monty Python.
