“Here Comes The Flood” by Robert Fripp and Peter Gabriel

15 07 2013

Last week’s heavy rains in Toronto naturally reminded me of this:

This version of “Here Comes The Flood” appears on Robert Fripp’s Exposure album, released in 1979, and features Fripp’s “Frippertronics” guitar tape-loop effects in the background. I like this version better than the version that Gabriel himself previously recorded.

By the way, the Water Music instrumental that precedes this on Exposure contains a voiceover in which the potential effects of climate change were discussed. It was the first time I had ever heard of the  greenhouse effect.
