“Werewolves of London” by Warren Zevon

3 09 2013

Because this is Back To School Day and all that, here’s a song that I am posting just because it is fun.

This is from Warren Zevon’s Excitable Boy album, recorded in 1978. A bit of trivia for you: Fleetwood and Mac of Fleetwood Mac (Mick Fleetwood and John McVie) played drums and bass on this song. (A bit more trivia for you, courtesy of Wikipedia: Zevon was part of an occasional band called Hindu Love Gods, working with Bill Berry, Mike Mills and Peter Buck of R.E.M.)

Zevon, who was more critically acclaimed than commercially successful, battled alcohol and drug addictions for much of his working career, and was out of the music business for periods of time. He died of cancer in 2003.
